Physiotherapist Kanica graduated from India in 2009 with a Bachelors in Physiotherapy and then obtained a Masters of Physiotherapy (Neurological Rehabilitation) in 2012. She has been working as a registered physiotherapist in Canada since 2017. She has worked with various private clinics in the Toronto and Durham region with a keen interest in treating Orthopaedic, Neurological and Pelvic conditions.
She has worked with various orthopaedic and neurological surgeons in India and was head of the physiotherapy department at the prestigious BVP handicapped centre. During her tenure as an assistant professor, she was responsible for teaching and supervising postgraduate students in physiotherapy.
It is her passion to learn new skills so that she is able to help her patients in the best way possible. Besides being a certified pelvic floor therapist and a registered nutritionist in Canada, she is also interested in empowering women regarding their pelvic health problems.
Kanica believes in conducting thorough and comprehensive assessments of her patients in order to gain a fully understanding of their condition. As a team player, Kanica works collaboratively with her patients and other health care professionals to customize treatment plans to meet their needs. A combination of education, manual therapy, modalities and active rehabilitation is part of her treatment plan.
In her spare time, she enjoys exploring nature, she’s an avid foodie, and loves to spend time with family and friends.
